		<description>This posting has a series of errors. Type I bipolar is NOT the most common form. Hypomania is NOT the most severe form of mania but the LESS so. Pure mania is the more severe. Hypomania is NOT diagnosed when there is an extended phase that includes psychosis. Psychosis would come most often with pure mania. 

Type one symptoms are NOT mostly of one kind and to say it is more treatable is a gross generalization. There is no way to generalize how  many medications people need to be on.
